Here we have a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette for sale. This car has undergone a complete 15-year restoration with no expense spared. If you're looking for a Corvette that has eyes to turn every head and the power to leave them in the taillights, then look no further! The body on it was meticulously prepped before the restoration. We can see that all the body lines flow perfectly down the sides and that its laser straight. The L88 hood install was professionally done, and all the panel fit is top notch with all the gaps being even and symmetrical. Everything is covered in the Lemans Blue Paint that was redone in base coat clear coat. Countless hours have been spent buffing and polishing it to a mirror finish that's slick as a ribbon. Also, we can see that it comes with the hard top that is equally impressive. A new White soft top was also installed and has an excellent fit. Both front and rear bumpers were replaced and have a brilliant finish. The rest of the trim and around the taillights and windshield are like new as well. We can see that this Vette is set up with the SS side pipes that have a gorgeous finish as well. The hidden headlights and wiper system are all working like they should. All the weather stripping and seals were replaced and are like new as well. To finish off the look it's sitting on at set of 15” Rally Wheels with Beauty Rings, Flat Centers and Red Line Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Convertible. On the inside it's done in the classic black that flows perfectly with the exterior. When the restoration was done all new leather seat covers were installed along with new head rests. We can also see that the door panels are all like new and that the glass is beautiful and goes up and down with ease. Looking at the dash it's in immaculate condition with all the gauges working as they should. It has a fully functional telescopic wheel with a wood grain steering wheel. The Carpet and seals plates were replaced, and sound deadening was installed prior to it being put in. The center console houses the Hurt Competition Shifter. The rear storage area has had new carpet installed as well along with new speakers.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the L88 hood is virtually a brand new ZZ383 Crate engine with less than 4000 miles on it. It's estimated at 450HP and is set up with the GM Aluminum Intake and 750 Holley Double Pump Carb. A new wiring harness was installed from Lectric OEM along with having an MSD ignition system. The exhaust flows through the Hooker Ceramic coated headers. To keep it cool it has a BeCool Aluminum Radiator. It's dressed in the Finned Aluminum Valve Covers and Billet Specialties Air cleaner. It comes with Power Steering and Power Brakes with SS Four Wheel Disc Brakes Calibers with Ceramic Pads and High-Performance Rotors. The ZZ383 engine runs through the professional rebuilt Muncie Four Speed with all new Centerforce Clutch, Pressure Plate and Fly Wheel. The rear differential was rebuilt by Van Steel and they also powder coated the trailing arms. On a rack you can see that this car has never been abused and that all the suspension is like new. It was professionally aligned and, on the highway, and backroads it handles better than any '68 Corvette I've ever drove. This is a car that was built to be enjoyed and is guaranteed to turn heads and leave you with a smile on your face every time you hit the road!
