1964 Chevrolet Malibu SS Convertible Matching# 283 V8 Automatic Posi Rear PS PDB

Here we have a 1964 Chevrolet Malibu SS Convertible for sale. This is a factory Super Sport V8 Convertible that sports a ton of eye appeal. It has undergone a beautiful restoration and will make you the perfect convertible to show or cruise. The body on it is in excellent condition and we can see that it has great fit of all the panels. Both doors open and close with ease and a great fit, also the hood and trunk have a great fit as well. This '64 has been redone in the Ember Red paint scheme that does a beautiful job of showcasing the body. It's accented by the White Convertible top that is Power. The top goes up and down with ease and has the Red Boot for when the top is down. This '64 sports all the correct SS Trim along with having both the upper and lower body moldings that have a brilliant finish. Up front the grill and all the trim around it are in great condition along with the front bumper that has been replaced. Out back all the trim and bezels are equally impressive, and the rear bumper has been replaced as well. The stance on this SS is set off by the American Racing Wheels with Hankook Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Convertible. On the inside it's done in Red which flows perfectly with the exterior color scheme. It has had new panels installed that feature the standard windows that go up and down with ease and a great fit. This is a factory Bucket Seats and Console car that has had both the front and rear seat covers redone. A new carpet was also installed at the time of the restoration along with a new dash pad. All the interior metal is painted to match the exterior and has a beautiful finish. Looking at the dash we can see that the gauges are in excellent condition along with all the stainless accents. Inside the trunk is all rock solid from the pan to the jam and all new weather stripping was installed. The trunk is detailed out with the trunk mat, spare, and jack.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the hood everything has a very nice detail, and the inner fenders and firewall are all solid. The power comes from the date coded original L77 283 V8 with the JG Suffix Code. It's set up with the 3844457 GM Intake with Holley 600 Carburetor. The 283 is dressed in painted valve covers along with the factory style air cleaner. This Malibu SS is set up with Power Steering along with Power Brakes that feature Disc on the front. For exhaust it has manifolds with dual pipes and turbo style mufflers. The 283 V8 runs through the date coded original Power Glide along with the original 10 Bolt Rear end with 3.08 Posi Gears. When we look under this '64 we can see that they did a nice job with the restoration new floor pans were installed and they did a nice job with the installation. The frame all looks to be solid and in great condition with no signs of abuse. The suspension is in great condition and on the highway this Convertible is a very nice cruiser.
