1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe L79 Matching Numbers 327 Muncie 4 Speed Sting Ray

Here we have a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe L79 for sale. This car features the Matching Numbers L79 327 350HP engine. One of the most iconic cars every built, the Corvette is synonymous with being the performance icon for American Sports Cars. The coupe body style for '66 was very similar to that of the '65 model with exception of egg crate grill that replaced the horizontal bars and the Corvette Sting Ray Emblem on the hood. This is a factory Milano Maroon car that has been redone in the Rally Red paint scheme that was done in base coat clear coat. The rally red has been polished to a mirror that showcases a stunning body that has excellent fit of all the panels. We can see the body lines flow flawlessly from the front to the back. All the gaps are even and symmetrical as well. Both doors have a great fit and all the glass in this coupe is beautiful. Both front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition as well and sport a brilliant shine. You'll also notice that this '66 has the side pipes and rockers molding. Next, we will look at the interior of this Sting Ray. On the Inside it's done in the two tone Black and White Color Combo that flows perfectly with the exterior. This was a factory standard black interior car that had the white seat covers, door panels, and headliner added at the time of the restoration. The seat covers are in excellent condition and have been very well cared for since installation. Looking at the dash we can see that it's also in great condition. All the gauges are in beautiful and working as they should. The trim all looks great as well along with the glove box. We can see that the carpet is also very nice in both the front and back along with the headliner and trim panels.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the hood it's powered by the Matching Numbers L79 327 350 Horsepower Engine. It's set up with the correct 3890490 Winter's Aluminum Intake and Holley Four Barrel Carburetor 3884505-DA. It's dressed in the chrome top air cleaner with a new element along with the factory Corvette Finned Valve covers with the 350 Horsepower call out. For exhaust it has the correct manifolds 3846559 and 3747042 along with the side pipes that sound awesome behind this L79. The rest of the engine bay has a stunning detail as it features the GM styled Hoses with factory style clamps. This 327 runs through the Muncie Four Speed Transmission and factory rear end. On the highway it shifts smooth, and the clutch is in great condition. This '66 comes with Four Wheel Disc Brakes and new lines have been installed. When you look under it, we can see that the frame is all rock solid from front to back with no signs of damage or abuse. All the floors are also in excellent condition.
