The body on this Super Sport is one of the best you'll see on an El Camino. All the body lines flow beautiful and all of the panels are straight and solid. It's covered in the factory optioned Cranberry Red Paint that's accented by the Black SS stripes. The paint has been redone in base coat clear coat and has been kept polished to a gorgeous finish that's slick as a ribbon. This '70 also has the factory Optioned White Vinyl top. We can also see that this El Camino has a ton of factory optioned trim that really makes it stand out in a crowd. Its factory optioned with the front Bumper Guards along with Wheel Opening Moldings (that are original GM moldings), Door Edge Guards, and Bed Rails. Every piece of Chrome and Stainless on this '70 is impressive and carries a stunning finish. Inside the bed, we can see that all the metal is rock solid and that it shows little to no use and is protected by the White snap on Tonneau cover. Some other options you'll notice on this '70 is the working Cowl Induction Hood along with the outside spotlights. To finish off the exterior it's sitting on the 15” SS Wheels with Firestone Wide Oval Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Super Sport. On the inside it's done in the classic black that flows perfectly with the exterior. It's optioned with the Vinyl Bucket seats and Console that houses the Automatic Shifter. The options continue over from the outside as this '70 is equipped with Power Windows, Power Door Locks and Tilt Wheel. One of the most iconic options for the 70 SS was the round gauges which this car has, and they are all working with exception of the clock. It also still sports the factory optioned AM/FM 8 Track Player along with having factory AC. Both of which are working as they should. On the dash you'll notice the GM plaque stating it was built for Mr. McDorman. All the carpet and headliner is in excellent condition and working dome light. We can also see that this El Camino sports the factory spare with cover and jack.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the hood it's powered by the Matching Number 396/350 HP Engine. The entire engine compartment looks correct like it would have when bought new in 1970. The 396 is dressed in the factory valve covers and is set up with the correct intake and four-barrel Carb with the correct cowl induction air cleaner. We can also see that it has the GM stamped hoses along with the correct tower clamps. All the metal is phenomenal from the inner fenders to the firewall. The matching numbers 396 is mated to the matching numbers Turbo 400 Transmission and correct 12 Bolt Posi Rear End with CCF suffix 3:31 Gears. For exhaust it has the correct manifolds that run through dual pipes and Thrush Mufflers. To keep it cool it has the Harrison Radiator. When you look under this El Camino SS, you'll notice all the pans are original and rock solid. Also, the frame shows no signs of abuse and is rock solid as well. On the highway it runs and drives phenomenal as the Power Steering is very responsive and the Power Brakes with Disc on the front stop great! This truly is an exceptional Muscle Car that will be a great addition to any family.
